​​'58 Jerome Burman, MD (1929-2015) 

 

Jerome Burman, M.D. "Dr. Jerry", beloved husband and father, 85 years old, passed away Tuesday, February 17, 2015 peacefully. Formerly of Columbus, Ohio and retired to Boynton Beach, Florida. He is preceded in passing by his father Harry, mother Ernestine, and brother Leonard. Survived by his wife, Florine (Schrager); daughters, Karen Benner (Adam), Debbie Detke (Mark); sons, Mark (Connie) and David; grandchildren, Alexandra Burman, Caitlin and Sam Detke; sister, Phyllis Levinson of Las Vegas; and brother-in-law, Marvin Schrager (Sandra) of Austin, Texas. Dr. Jerry completed his undergraduate degree and graduated from The Ohio State University College of Medicine in 1958 and practiced for 35 years in Gahanna, Ohio and was on staff at Mount Carmel East Hospital. Dr. Jerry was a member of the Alpha Epsilon Pi Fraternity and Phi Delta Epsilon Medical Fraternity at OSU. Dr. Jerry is remembered for his long time commitment to the community as a medical practitioner, excellent athlete, beloved husband, and family man. He will be remembered for his kind heart and devotion to his family, friends, and patients.
