’55 August B. Juliano, MD (1926-2015) 

 

August B. Juliano, MD, age 88 of Midland Park died Wednesday, January 21, 2015 a Hackensack University Medical Center. He was born in Brooklyn, NY and had spent most of his life residing in the Bergen County area, most recently living in Midland Park. August also maintained a second home in Mantoloking, NJ. After graduating in 1946 from the Merchant Marine Academy, Kings Point, NY, he served with the Merchant Marines as a Ship's Engineer during World War II. He went on to serve his country once again, being drafted after completing medical school to serve in the US Navy as a medical officer during the Korean Conflict. Dr. Juliano was an orthopedic surgeon, having graduated medical school from Ohio State University and had a private practice in Ridgewood for many years. Throughout his career he was affiliated with the Valley Hospital, Ridgewood. August is survived by his beloved children; Jeffre Juliano and his wife Melissa of Honolulu, HI, Amanda Bankuti and her husband, Titusz of New York NY, Lucas Juliano of Wilmington, NC and Jessica Juliano of Charlottesville, VA, his endearing grandchildren; Kian, Nyah, and Ryder Juliano, Sophia and Alexander Bankuti, Quinton Juliano and Kyleigh and Coban Crawford, his brother, Louis Juliano and sister, Theresa Yunk both of Salem, OH. He is also survived by many loving nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
