Michael Brady, MD, pediatric resident at The Ohio State University (1977-1979), is a candidate for President-elect of the American Academy of Pediatrics. The election will be conducted from October 21 through November 21, 2016. Following his pediatric residency at OSU, he completed a pediatric infectious diseases fellowship at the Baylor College of Medicine. After fellowship, he returned to Ohio State and is a Professor of Pediatrics. He was Chair of the Department of Pediatrics at The Ohio State University from 2005 through 2013. He is currently Associate Medical Director at Nationwide Children’s Hospital. In 2013, he was a recipient of the Leonard Tow Humanism in Medicine Award from the faculty of The Ohio State University College of Medicine. He has had a number of roles at the American Academy of Pediatrics. Most recently, he has been on the Committee on Infectious Disease (Red Book Committee), Chair from 2010-2014, and he is currently the Associate Editor of the 2015 and 2018 Red Books.
