He was a member of the American Academy of Ophthalmology, Presidents Club and Buckeye Club at The Ohio State University and a member of the OSU Havener Legacy Society. Locally, he was a member of the Oak Harbor Marsh Club, Elks, Port Clinton Yacht Club and Oak Harbor Athletic Boosters. Dr. Solze was an avid golfer, enjoyed fishing, hunting and gardening with his family and may have been the biggest Ohio State fan as an alumni and season ticket holder. Special thanks to Val Floro and Kathy Courtney for their unconditional love and support.
