BMI Student selected to compete in DataQuality Common Data Model Code-a-Thon

Bill Stephens, a BMI Masters student has been selected to compete in PCORI's DQ Code-a-Thon. The goal of this weekend will be to have small teams of programmers compete to create visualizations of DQ results produced by the project’s the DataQuality Common Data Model (DQ CDM).  The DQ Code-a-Thon will conclude with presentations of each team’s DQ visualizations and code.  Prizes will be awarded on Sunday to the team with the best and most creative visualizations.

The DQ Code-a-Thon is part of a PCORI funded project (“Building PCOR Value and Integrity with Data Quality and Transparency Standards”) whose major aim is to develop a comprehensive data quality assessment framework and guidelines for the comparative effectiveness research (CER) community, including a framework to guide the development of new analytic and reporting methods specifically directed to data quality assessment and reporting for CER studies.  This framework is necessary as data from clinical and patient-centered systems, research data warehouses, and large scale data networks begin to become established sources of observational data

Congratulations Bill!
