About Me
As an orthopedic surgeon, I enjoy taking care of patients with a wide variety of musculoskeletal issues. I work hard to ensure my skills are used to give patients an excellent experience during their time at The Ohio State University. Orthopedic trauma is a special interest of mine, and my area of fellowship training. I enjoy working with patients who have fractures at all stages of treatment, from acute injuries to more chronic issues such as malunions (fractures that have not healed) and nonunions (fractures that have healed incorrectly). My goal is to engage patients in their care. I believe that patients who actively participate in their care often have better outcomes.
It’s very rewarding for me to watch my patients as they go through the rehabilitation process. I enjoy seeing the positive results of our treatments and guiding each person on their journey back to health.
I enjoy working at The Ohio State University because we have a strong sense of community and a seemingly endless number of opportunities. It is a truly unique and special thing to be a part of this family.
When I’m not working, I like to spend my free time enjoying the outdoors and traveling when I’m able. I am also an Ohio High School Athletic Association basketball official.

Consulting and Related Relationships
At The Ohio State University Wexner Medical Center, we support a faculty member’s research and consulting in collaboration with medical device, research and/or drug companies because a faculty member’s expertise can guide important advancements in the practice of medicine and improve patient care. In order to provide effective management of these relationships, the University requires annual disclosures from all faculty members with external interests related to their University responsibilities.
As of 09/30/2022, Dr. Harrison has reported no relationships with companies or entities.
