I have been a Clinical Psychologist since 1996 and have been on the faculty of the Department of Family and Community Medicine since 2003, seeing patients, developing behavioral health curriculum for the Family Medicine Residency Program, and providing training for our residents and Psychology Practicum and Fellowship students.

I have a background in community mental health, educational research and program evaluation, educational curriculum development, and research and consultation for public sector organizations, groups, and institutions. My interests and expertise center on the intersection of behavioral health and social circumstance, and on the art and science of therapeutic intervention with diverse populations.

I maintain a practice within the department that is broad in focus. I use CBT, DBT, Solution-Focused Therapy, Mindfulness, and other interventions to address patients’ psychological and emotional concerns within the context of their relationships, their behavior, and their social realities (poverty, food, housing, medication, and transportation insecurity, and hindrances to access to care).
