Research Assistant Professor


Dr. Shasha Bai is a Research Assistant Professor in the Center for Biostatistics at The Ohio State University. Her statistical research focuses on agreement and reliability measures in complex scenarios and design and analysis of longitudinal studies. Her applied and collaborative research experience includes but is not limited to pharmacokinetics of pediatric medicine, treatment and prevention of childhood obesity, pediatric clinical trials, long-term cognitive and school performance outcomes of at-risk infants, and community-based interventions.

Prior to her current position, she was an Assistant Professor of Biostatistics and Pediatrics at the University of Arkansas for Medical Sciences and Arkansas Children’s Hospital. At Arkansas Children’s, she served as the primary faculty statistician for several Pediatrics divisions, ACH Quality Improvement, as well as the Nursing Research Department. She was a co-investigator on several large NIH, USDA, CDC grants, as well as industry and intramural awards. She was also heavily involved in educating physicians, medical residents, fellows and nursing researchers.
