American Society for Radiation Oncology Meeting to Feature Work of Dr. Arnab Chakravarti 

 

 

This October, the Plenary Session at the 54th Annual Meeting of the American Society for Radiation Oncology (ASTRO) will feature the work of Arnab Chakravarti, MD, chair of Ohio State’s Department of Radiation Oncology, Max Morehouse Chair of Cancer Research, and co-director of the Brain Tumor Program at the Arthur G. James Comprehensive Cancer Center and Richard L. Solove Research Institute.

The title of Chakravarti’s abstract, which was selected from nearly 3,000 submissions, is “A Revised RTOG Recursive Partitioning Analysis (RPA) Model for Glioblastoma Based Upon Multi-Platform Biomarker Profiles.” Chakravarti’s work in radiation oncology has focused on incorporating newly-identified biomarkers into the original clinically-based model through which Glioblastomas are identified, thus creating fundamental changes to prognostic classification of Glioblastomas.
