Register today for an interactive educational session at the Clinical Skills Education and Assessment Center on Friday, October 5 from 1:30-3:30 PM.
As new tools and techniques develop daily, there’s no shortage of technology to incorporate in daily practice and patient care. You can gain some insight into these exciting new technologies at an interactive education session sponsored by the Medical Alumni Society on Friday, October 5th from 1:30-3:30 PM on the 6th floor of Prior Library.
Join alumni and faculty from The Ohio State University College of Medicine and Wexner Medical Center for a continuing medical education (CME) session titled: Technology in Relationship Centered Care. The session will feature the new Clinical Skills Education and Assessment Center expansion, and will allow attendees to gain hands-on experience with cutting-edge simulation and diagnostic tools.
Specifically, the session will focus on bedside diagnostic tools, emergency protocols, and today’s teaching technologies.
The use of ultrasound at the bedside, the availability of non-invasive diagnostic devices, and the variety of new healthcare technologies has revolutionized practice. In this sub-session, attendees will have the opportunity to see bedside ultrasound demonstrated, and even practice the techniques themselves.
With the increased availability of AED devices and recent changes in basic CPR, the management of emergent situations continues to evolve. This session will help participants catch up on the changes, move comfortably to the new format and understand why these modifications are essential.
Today’s Teaching Technologies:
Even recent medical school graduates can be out of touch with the rapidly expanding tools for medical education. Our Clinical Skills lab will make available a hands-on CME experience that helps physicians quickly adapt to a variety of tools including simulators, hand-held diagnostic tools and a multitude of apps for instant medical information.
If you’d like to be a part of this exciting CME, be sure to register today, as spots are limited. Alumni who are attending the 2012 Homecoming and Alumni Reunion Weekend can register online at http://go.osu.edu/medreunion
. If you are not attending other reunion activities, but are interested in participating in the CME, please contact the Medical Center Alumni Affairs office at (614) 366-1642 or email@example.com.
