Erica Dawson, PhDErica Dawson, PhD, ABPP-CN, is a licensed psychologist and clinical neuropsychologist. She completed her doctorate at the University of Cincinnati, residency at the VA Ann Arbor Healthcare System, and fellowship at the University of Michigan/VA Ann Arbor Healthcare System consortium. She conducts neuropsychological evaluations with a wide range of patient populations and has particular expertise in the area of primary brain tumors. Boxley resizedLaura Boxley, PhD, ABPP-CN, is a licensed psychologist and clinical neuropsychologist. She completed her doctorate at Loma Linda University, residency at the VA Ann Arbor Healthcare System, and fellowship at the University of Michigan/VA Ann Arbor Healthcare System consortium. She conducts neuropsychological evaluations with a wide range of patient populations and has particular expertise in the areas of acquired brain injury, traumatic brain injury and dementia. She leads our service’s education and training programs, as well as several research studies investigating cognitive correlates of medical illness. You can read more about Dr. Boxley here 

 

Christopher Nguyen, PhD, is a licensed psychologist and clinical neuropsychologist. He completed his doctorate degree at the University of Iowa, residency at the VA Ann Arbor Healthcare System, and fellowship at the University of Oklahoma Health Sciences Center. He conducts neuropsychological evaluations with a wide range of patient populations and has particular interest in the area of dementia and other neurodegenerative diseases. Darrin Aase, PhD, ABPP-CNDarrin Aase, PhD, ABPP-CN,  is  a  licensed  psychologist  and   clinical neuropsychologist. He completed his doctorate at DePaul University, residency at Oak Forest Hospital of Cook County, and fellowship at Loyola University Medical Center. He conducts neuropsychological evaluations with a variety of patient populations, and has particular expertise in the areas of addiction/dual-diagnoses, neuropsychological sequelae of medical conditions, neurodegenerative diseases, and traumatic brain injuries. Our Other Providers

Scott resizedMarjorie Scott, LISW-S, is a licensed social worker and psychiatric counselor. She received her Bachelor of Arts in Psychology and her Master of Social Work degree from The Ohio State University. Marjorie provides treatment for clients with an array of mental health and neurocognitive disorders, utilizing evidenced-based therapies combined with a strengths-based approach to assist clients in regulating mood, cognition and behavior. 

 

 

 


 

We are currently have a neuropsychiatry position open, with the goal of providing medication management for psychiatric symptoms (e.g., anxiety, depression, hallucinations) that can occur in the context of neurologic conditions.

Our Technicians

The Ohio State Neuropsychology Service also has three exceptional technicians: Kara Eversole, BS, Tom Spangler, BA, and James “Jimmy” McGrew, BS. Each technician in our service has completed a bachelor’s degree in Psychology and has been extensively trained by the Neuropsychology faculty to administer and score neuropsychological and psychological measures. Our technicians are also trained to ensure that the patient experience is comfortable and minimally stressful.

Our Trainees

Stephanie Kielb, PhD is a post-doctoral fellow in neuropsychology. She completed her doctorate at Northwestern University Feinberg School and residency at The Ohio State Wexner Medical Center. She conducts neuropsychological evaluations with a wide range of patient populations under direct supervision of our faculty neuropsychologists. She is involved in research related to aging and dementia.
