To help prevent the spread of COVID-19, The Ohio State University Wexner Medical Center is currently converting in-person appointments to telehealth appointments wherever it’s possible and appropriate. If you have an upcoming appointment, you may be hearing directly from your doctor’s office to reschedule your appointment as a video visit. If an in-person visit is required, appointments will remain scheduled as-is, and we’ll continue to take all necessary precautions to ensure your safety. Learn more

Have your next doctor's appointment online

To schedule a video visit, call your provider’s office or log in to MyChart to request an appointment. Already have a telehealth appointment scheduled? Prepare for your upcoming video visit using the instructions and tips for having a successful virtual visit.

Video visit instructions

Your provider can deliver your care using one of several technology tools available including MyChart, Updox and Teams.

Confirm what technology your provider is using in advance of your visit. There may be additional instructions for your specific visit. Microsoft Teams will be used when an interpreter or other party is joining your video visit. A MyChart account is recommended to view follow-up instructions from your provider virtually, but is not required to have a telehealth appointment.

Tips for a successful visit:

  • Select a quiet, private, well-lit location with access to a strong internet connection to ensure the privacy and quality of your visit.
  • Have your insurance card, driver’s license and list of current medications with you.
  • Confirm that your device is fully charged and that it can be stabilized on a stationary object.
  • Join your video visit at least five minutes ahead of your appointment time.
