Disclosure of New Ideas

Guido MarcucciNew innovations should be disclosed by COM researchers and clinicians to the OSU Office of Technology Commercialization and Knowledge Transfer (TCO) for further evaluation. With your input, the TCO will assess the commercial potential of the invention and strength of any necessary patent or other intellectual property protection. TCO will then recommend next steps. Some inventions will be ready for pursuit of appropriate intellectual property protection, or otherwise move forward into marketing and licensing. Other disclosed inventions will require further research and development before intellectual property protection can be secured, while some inventions may not generate sufficient market opportunity to warrant additional investment of resources.

If you have questions about the disclosure or evaluation process, contact the TCO.
