Ohio State is committed to providing our physicians, researchers and students with the facilities and equipment that enable their vital work. More than 140 shared core labs across campus are equipped with the latest technologies and instruments allowing researchers to save valuable grant dollars and time.

In the past 20 years alone, major capital investments have included our Biomedical Research Tower and the innovative Dorothy M. Davis Heart and Lung Research Institute, which provide lab space for integrative and translational research.

On the horizon is our new multidisciplinary research tower. This state-of-the-art facility will bring together researchers and scientists from disciplines across Ohio State – from the College of Medicine to veterinary science to biomechanical engineering – to work within a truly collaborative and interactive environment. The goal is to shorten the time from initial research to new discoveries in treatment options, improving and ultimately saving patient lives.
