Description and Mission
MD Camp is an intensive, three-week summer day camp that gives participants an experience in the rigors of medical school. It is open to Juniors, Seniors and recent high school graduates who are interested in pursuing careers in the health professions including biomedical research and who are considered an underrepresented minority or disadvantaged student in medicine.
Ultimately, MD Camp aims at increasing the number of physicians who are underrepresented in medicine and who elect to practice in underserved areas. Toward this end, the camp strives to inspire students to pursue a career in medicine by challenging them intellectually, facilitating their academic and social development, and increasing their awareness of the special needs of underserved populations.
Place: OSU College of Medicine, 370 West Ninth Ave., Columbus, OH
Dates: Friday, June 14, 2013 - Wednesday, July 3, 2013
Time: Monday – Friday from 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM
Cost: $700. Scholarships are available based on need and academic merit.

Application Acceptance, Interview and Notification timeline:
Deadline: Applications must be postmarked by Monday, April 15, 2013. Early applicants will be given priority consideration for scholarships.
Notification for interviews if selected is no later than Wednesday, April 24, 2013
Interview date: Tuesday, May 7, 2013
Final acceptance notifications will be mailed on or before Friday, May 10, 2013
Parent meeting is Friday, May 17, 2013.
