Shengyi Mao, MDShengyi Mao, MD, FACP, FAAP, assistant clinical professor of Internal Medicine and Pediatrics, has been appointed medical editor and moderator of OSU MedNet21. She has been an Ohio State University College of Medicine faculty member since 2015 in the Division of General Internal Medicine and Geriatrics, and in the Department of Pediatrics, Division of Pediatric General.

OSU MedNet21 is a webcast designed to bring the most recent advancements and knowledge to health care providers across the world. The webcast is a series of 120 one-hour programs archived online to enable providers to fulfill continuing medical education requirements. Each webcasts offers AMA PRA Category 1 Credits(s) TM on topics that help today’s primary care providers stay abreast of the latest information and developments in medicine.

After earning her medical degree from The Ohio State University, Dr. Mao completed her residency in Internal Medicine and Pediatrics at The Ohio State University Wexner Medical Center and Nationwide Children’s Hospital. She is dual board certified by the American Board of Internal Medicine and the American Board of Pediatrics. Dr. Mao is a member of the American College of Physicians and the American Association of Pediatrics.

Her research interests include preventive care, maternal-fetal health, global health and quality improvement. In addition to English, Dr. Mao is also fluent in Mandarin. Dr. Mao enjoys treating patients of all cultures, ethnicities and backgrounds, and loves learning about the unique health care needs of different patients.
