Nicoleta Stoicea, PhD

Background

Nicoleta Stoicea is an adjunct assistant professor in the Department of Biological Chemistry at The Ohio State University Wexner Medical Center.

Dr. Stoicea obtained her PhD degree in Neurophysiology of aging in 2011 and completed her Research Fellowship Program in Neuroanesthesiology at The Ohio State Wexner Medical Center in 2016.

Research Interests

Neurodegenerative disorders and aging, and Principal Investigator (PI) in clinical research phase I/II/III/IV.

Dr. Stoicea has extensive clinical research experience in postoperative delirium pathophysiology, analgesia and models of multidisciplinary approach of transition of care for geriatric surgical patients.

She has published more than 80 research publications in peer-reviewed jurnals and presented her work at national and international forums and conferences: American Society of Anesthesiology, Forum of European Neuroscience Societies, and International Brain Research Organization.
