In mid-December 2020, the Comprehensive Transplant Center’s lung team performed its 400th lung transplant at the Ohio State Richard M. Ross Heart Hospital. This accomplishment wouldn't have been possible without the dedication, excellence and hard work of the entire lung transplant team!
The current lung transplant program launched in 2013 and has grown exponentially to be 10th by volume in the United States and “Best in Ohio” for transplant patient outcomes. The collaborative, multidisciplinary team has progressed clinical care to successfully perform heart-lung, lung-liver and lung-kidney transplants, extending the life-enhancing gift of transplant to patients.
