This new research will evaluate the feasibility of longitudinal collection of more granular social determinants of health, such as insurance, geography and finances, data in clinical trials. Reflecting her own interest in health care disparities and health equity, Samilia Obeng-Gyasi, MD, says that the long term-goal of her research is “to inform and influence governmental policy for resource allocation for vulnerable cancer patients.”
