About
Biography
My research explores the reparative capacity of immune cells within the context of the central nervous system. In 2024, I published in Nature Immunology on the generation of a novel immune cell isolated from bone marrow that was able to induce axon regeneration and improve neuronal survival after traumatic nerve injury. My current work focuses on exploring human immune cell subsets capable of regeneration, determining their mechanism of action, and finding new ways to expand and generate cells that are able to induce neuron regeneration after central nervous system or ocular damage.
I appreciate the commitment to innovation here in The Ohio State University College of Medicine, and the readily available resources that allow me to pursue highly complex research.
