About
Biography
Now I’m passionate about being at The Ohio State University Wexner Medical Center because we’re at the forefront of patient innovation with top-ranked doctors and skilled clinical staff. I maintain a dual role at Ohio State by teaching students as an assistant professor of Surgery and treating patients as a trauma surgeon. Medical students are full of questions and ideas, so I enjoy mentoring each new group, in academic and clinical settings, to ensure they’re getting the proper knowledge and skills to become the best doctors they can be.
My research interests include user interface design and creating machine-learning models to improve patient outcomes, cut health care costs and improve electronic health record functionality. I have co-written more than 10 papers and five chapters as well as numerous oral presentations on evidence-based data relating to these topics.
