About
Biography
I am Austin Grist, DO, assistant professor in the Department of Family Medicine at The Ohio State University College of Medicine. I specialize in patient-centered primary care, patient education and shared decision-making techniques for patients. My work focuses on helping people better understand their health and partnering with them to achieve their wellness goals through compassionate, personalized care.
Treating and teaching people are my passions in medicine. I chose a career in medicine because I value listening carefully to my patients' concerns and partnering with them to address their health needs with respect, compassion and individualized care. I believe strong communication and education empower patients to make informed decisions and take active roles in their health.
I strive to build meaningful relationships with patients and families by creating an environment where they feel heard, supported and respected. I am committed to providing evidence-based care while recognizing the unique needs and goals of every individual.
