About

Biography

As the director of Medical Dietetics in the School of Health and Rehabilitation Sciences, my research focuses on meal patterns, sources of nutrients, and dietary patterns in alignment with dietary guidance.

Paying it forward has been a theme for my academic career. Several of my mentors sacrificed their accomplishments to give me opportunities to lead papers and gain valuable experience. Now, as co-director of the Master of Dietetics and Nutrition graduate degree program and as a graduate student mentor, I approach education and mentorship with the same student-first capacity, allowing students to build their skills and experience. The early, active engagement I had in research in the field of dietetics gave me opportunities in national leadership that have let me make meaningful impacts through research and service.

I appreciate the commitment to innovation here in The Ohio State University College of Medicine, and the readily available resources that allow me to pursue highly complex research.
