Biography

I am Daniel Boulter, MD, assistant professor in the Department of Radiology at The Ohio State University College of Medicine, and I specialize in neuroradiology. My research focuses on advanced imaging of neurological and head and neck disorders, as well as on the development and application of evidence-based imaging practices that improve patient care.

I serve as division chief of Neuroradiology at The Ohio State University Wexner Medical Center. Throughout my career, I have co-authored numerous peer-reviewed publications, abstracts and book chapters, and I have been invited to present at national radiology meetings. I have also served on the American College of Radiology Expert Panel on Neurologic Imaging, helping develop evidence-based appropriateness criteria and consensus recommendations that help guide imaging utilization and patient care across the United States.

As a board-certified neuroradiologist, I specialize in advanced MRI and CT imaging of the brain and spine and also, the head and neck. I work closely with neurologists, neurosurgeons, oncologists and other specialists to provide accurate diagnoses and support treatment planning for patients with complex neurological and head and neck conditions. In addition to diagnostic imaging, I perform image-guided procedures of the spine and neck for diagnostic evaluation and treatment. I am also an active member of both the Head and Neck Tumor Board and the Spine Tumor Board at The Ohio State University Comprehensive Cancer Center – Arthur G. James Cancer Hospital and Richard J. Solove Research Institute where I collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to help deliver individualized patient care.

Education and mentorship are central to my academic mission. I am passionate about training the next generation of neuroradiologists and supporting fellows, resident physicians and medical students as they develop the knowledge, judgment and technical skills needed to provide outstanding patient care and advance the field of radiology.
