About
Biography
My research centers on medical imaging and artificial intelligence, with a focus on deep learning for image reconstruction, processing and analysis. Currently, I am leading an NIH-funded initiative, where we are pioneering AI-based imaging for portable photon-counting computed tomography (CT), to enhance patient care while reducing costs. My work spans multiple translational AI projects in magnetic resonance imaging (MRI), mammography and radiation therapy, supported by GE Healthcare. The team has developed latest reconstruction techniques for conventional and spectral CT, digital breast tomosynthesis (DBT), positron emission tomography (PET) and MRI. Ongoing efforts include generative diffusion models for image reconstruction, model observers for image quality assessment, and robust AI integration into multimodal, brain and cardiac imaging systems.
I appreciate the commitment to innovation here in The Ohio State University College of Medicine, and the readily available resources that allow me to pursue highly complex research.
