About

Biography

In addition to my clinical responsibilities, I have dedicated my research and academic pursuits to validating the patient experience, investigating the relationship between self-reported outcome measures and objective aerodigestive tests. My research interests also include understanding the physiology of voice disorders to develop treatments that best address underlying somatosensory or neurolaryngeal problem. I have received several awards to support my research and have presented my findings at national conferences. I’ve written more than 25 articles published in peer-reviewed journals and authored several book chapters in the field of laryngology. I serve on the editorial board for an international journal, and as a reviewer for several national journals.

I enjoy helping to educate the next generation of physicians as an assistant professor of Otolaryngology in The Ohio State University College of Medicine. My role includes leading educational sessions with medical students and mentoring them on research projects.
