About

Biography

I am a research assistant professor in the Department of Psychiatry and Behavioral Health at The Ohio State University College of Medicine, working within the Nisonger Center’s Learning and Interpersonal Development Skills Program. My work focuses on improving transition services, inclusive postsecondary education, and community engagement opportunities for individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities.

My current research is centered on helping young people and adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities prepare for successful futures. I study ways to support students as they move from school into work, college, or community programs, including helping individuals shift from sheltered or subminimum wage jobs into competitive employment. This work aims to expand opportunities, increase independence, and improve long term quality of life for people with disabilities.

I value the commitment to innovation and inclusion at The Ohio State University Wexner Medical Center. I am passionate about expanding access to education, employment, and meaningful community participation for individuals with disabilities, and I strive to advance research and programs that create more equitable opportunities for all.
