About

Biography

I co-manage our CTRACT translational research team that is dedicated to providing the most innovative technologies and techniques to our patients. Our team uses academic studies in the lab to directly modify and enhance treatments to ensure our patients receive the most advanced therapies possible.

I have received independent funding through the National Institutes of Health to support my research. My work has been widely published in peer-reviewed journals and I was honored to receive a Research and education Award from the American Association for the Surgery of Trauma (AAST) and the Surgical Infection Society (SIS) Junior Faculty Translational Research Fellowship.

My role includes helping to educate the next generation of surgeon-scientists. I am the associate director of The Ohio State University Department of Surgery's Professional Development and Research Training Program (RTP), which "prepares surgical trainees through personalized research education, mentorship and career development." I am also an associate professor of Surgery at The Ohio State University College of Medicine."
