About
Biography
I am Kylie Shockley, MD, assistant professor in the Division of Palliative Medicine within the Department of Internal Medicine at The Ohio State University College of Medicine. I specialize in palliative care and symptom management. I focus on research into symptom management and palliative care because these areas are important to improving how we care for people living with serious illnesses. As a clinical faculty member within the Division of Palliative Medicine, I am committed to advancing knowledge that can improve quality of life for patients facing serious and complex health conditions. My work centers on understanding symptoms and identifying approaches that support patient-centered care throughout the course of illness.
Through my research, I aim to generate evidence that helps clinicians better address the physical and emotional challenges experienced by patients and their families. By focusing on palliative care and symptom management, I seek to improve patient outcomes and inform best practices across a variety of care settings.
