About
Biography
My research explores the genetic basis of hereditary gastrointestinal cancers, with a particular emphasis on hereditary diffuse gastric cancer and polyposis syndromes. I am recognized for my expertise in CDH1- and CTNNA1-associated disorders and lead efforts to develop variant classification standards, define genotype-phenotype relationships, and enhance clinical care for affected individuals.
At The Ohio State University, I serve as the principal investigator for a national registry titled CDH1-associated Blepharocheilodontic Syndrome (BCDS). This initiative aims to better define the clinical features of BCDS and investigate whether CDH1 variants linked to this condition may also increase cancer risk.
