About
Biography
My research is dedicated to advancing the field of heart transplantation and mechanical circulatory support. I am particularly interested in therapies for advanced heart failure, including mechanical circulatory support and extracorporeal membrane oxygenation.
Over the course of my career, I have authored more than 40 peer-reviewed journal articles and a comprehensive book on cardiopulmonary transplantation and mechanical circulatory support. In addition, I serve as an Editor for the Journal of Cardiothoracic Surgery.
In addition to my research, I am deeply committed to teaching, training and mentoring. I believe that education lies at the core of our daily work as physicians and plays a vital role in shaping and nurturing the next generation of medical professionals.
