About
Biography
I am a clinical investigator with a passion for improving women's cardiometabolic disease prevention efforts, with a specific focus on the peripartum time period. My research expertise includes postpartum management of gestational diabetes, peripartum primary care transition of care, and primary care access disparities. I also have experience with healthcare economics and secondary data analysis.
After completing my Primary Care Research fellowship and Masters of Public Health, I joined OSU GIM as an Assistant Professor. As a board-certified Internal Medicine-Pediatrics physician, I provide medical care for both birthing parents and their children to create a shared medical home and longitudinal primary care. i serve as a clinical advisor for statewide initiatives to improve maternal anxiety and depression screening and mental healthcare access, as well as a regional research group to coordinate women's health research efforts across institutions in the Midwest and mid-Atlantic regions. I have participated in systematic reviews and meta-analyses to inform US Preventive Service Task Force guidelines and is on several nationally funded grants to improve patient stakeholder involvement in maternal health research and improve existing evidence bases regarding peripartum care.
