About

Biography

In addition to my clinical responsibilities, I am passionate about advancing the field of anesthesiology through education, research, and leadership. I completed my medical degree, internship and residency at Harvard Medical School in Boston. I am board certified by the American Board of Anesthesiology. I also received additional formal training in education, business and ethics at Harvard.

My NIH-funded research is focused on reducing opioid use in surgical patients and looking for ways to more effectively monitor patients in the hospital. My Research Group is collaborating on developing and testing innovative technology to improve respiratory monitoring and improve patient outcomes. I have published over 600 peer-reviewed papers and edited several anesthesiology textbooks.
