About

Biography

In addition to my clinical responsibilities, I am active in research efforts aimed at improving outcomes for patients with congenital heart disease. My current translational work at the Abigail Wexner Research Institute at Nationwide Children’s Hospital centers on single ventricle disease and the consequences of long-standing venous hypertension. I am also collaborating with other researchers on the development of tissue-engineered vascular grafts.

As an educator, my role includes teaching the next generation of physicians and surgeons through talks including use of simulation. I am an associate clinical professor of Surgery in The Ohio State University College of Medicine.
