About

Biography

I am a researcher whose work focuses on cognition in epilepsy and on the factors that influence cognitive and functional outcomes for people living with neurological disorders. I specialize in neuropsychological assessment, cognitive phenotyping and rehabilitation research, using quantitative, mixed-method and real-world data approaches to better understand brain-behavior relationships.

My research is centered on improving the understanding, evaluation and treatment of cognitive changes associated with epilepsy. I study how neurological conditions affect thinking, memory and everyday functioning, with a particular interest in developing and refining methods for cognitive phenotyping and neuropsychological assessment. These efforts help advance our ability to identify meaningful cognitive patterns and support more personalized approaches to care and intervention.

A significant area of my work examines cognitive and functional outcomes in individuals with epilepsy, including those undergoing epilepsy surgery. Through this research, I aim to better understand the factors associated with cognitive change over time and to generate evidence that informs clinical decision-making and patient-centered treatment planning.

I am also interested in cognitive rehabilitation and the development of strategies that promote long-term quality of life and functional independence. By integrating neuropsychological assessment with real-world data and quantitative research methods, I seek to translate research findings into practical applications that can improve outcomes for individuals affected by epilepsy and related neurological conditions.

My ongoing and future research goals include advancing cognitive phenotyping techniques, improving assessment tools, evaluating rehabilitation interventions and expanding knowledge of the cognitive and functional effects of epilepsy across diverse patient populations. Through this work, I hope to contribute to more precise, evidence-based approaches for understanding and addressing cognitive health in epilepsy.
