About

Biography

In addition to my clinical responsibilities, mentoring learners has been one of the most rewarding aspects of my academic career. It has shaped how I lead them, teach them and help them grow as professionals, reinforcing the importance of clarity, structure and lifelong learning in both clinical care and education. My current role includes helping to educate the next generation of physicians as a clinical professor of Anesthesiology in The Ohio State University College of Medicine. I also lead my department’s Resident Quality Improvement Program.

In addition, I am a nationally recognized educator and trusted expert in graduate medical training, with a focus on quality improvement and systems-based practices. I serve as a faculty educator for the Accreditation Council for Graduate Medical Education’s initiative called the Program Directors Patient Safety and Quality (PDPQ) Educators Network.
