Experiences and Interests
Angela has been a licensed independent social worker since 2011. Prior to coming to The Ohio State University Wexner Medical Center, Angela worked in community mental health, focusing on youth and families. She transitioned to the Emergency Department at the Ohio State Wexner Medical Center, focusing on brief interventions, social determinants of health and building community partnerships before coming to the Department of Family and Community Medicine, where she continues this work with the team at Outpatient Care East. Angela has experience with cognitive behavioral therapy, motivational interviewing, Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) and strength-based interventions. Her areas of interest are community engagement and integrated care. In her free time, Angela enjoys a variety of outdoor activities, reading, and spending time with her husband and dogs.
