Alison Sobowale is a Licensed Independent Social Worker (LISW). She practices out of the Ohio State Internal Medicine and Pediatric clinics in Grandview and Hilliard. Alison works as an integrated part of the medical team providing short term mental health counseling. She also collaborates with the psychiatry and primary care team to ensure that patients are well linked with services and to assist with psychiatric collaborative case management. 

Alison provides a supportive nonjudgmental space when engaging patients in therapy. She utilizes a person-centered approach that focuses on a person’s strengths. Alison also utilizes several evidence-based practices including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Motivational Interviewing, mindfulness, and solution focused therapy. 

Alison received her Bachelor of Arts in Social Work from Ohio University and her Master of Social Work from The University of Cincinnati. Alison has over 15 years of experience that has focused on providing crisis management, working with children and families and with patients with anxiety and depression.
