Cali Hazel, LISW-S is a social worker in the General Internal Medicine clinic at Outpatient Care East where she provides psychotherapy for the Primary Care Addiction Medicine program and other patients with substance use and/or dual diagnosis concerns. She completed her undergraduate education at Defiance College in Social Work with a minor in psychology and earned her Master’s degree in Social Work at University of Louisville.

Prior to coming to OSU Physicians, Cali worked for a community mental health agency in multiple capacities including multiple management roles. Most recently, Cali worked as a court-based services supervisor, working with criminal courts and special dockets as well as an Assisted Outpatient Treatment program. Due to her work with this population, Cali was even featured on a Supreme Court of Ohio training on mental health concerns in the judicial system.  Cali has a long history of working with mental health and substance use dual diagnosis clients in both group and individual treatment settings and views herself as an advocate for this population and approaches all services from a strength-based and collaborative perspective. She utilizes Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Motivational Interviewing (MI), Emotionally Focused Individual Therapy (EFIT), Cognitive Processing Therapy (CPT) along with psychoeducation and other interventions to provide holistic therapy to her patients.
