Dr. Christopher Chiu joined the Division of General Internal Medicine in the last year and brought his enthusiasm for research. Dr. Chiu is greatly interested in education, both resident and graduate medical education, and also patient education. Dr. Chiu believes that, with a greater education on medical concerns patients will be able to make more informed decisions about their treatment and health.
Furthermore, Dr. Chiu is concerned with medicine and social media and how it impacts medical treatments. Dr. Chiu is also involved in Free Open Access Medicine and hope to bring these interests to fruition at Ohio State. Currently, Dr. Chiu is collaborating with other clinicians in the Division of Internal Medicine looking into people’s decision-making process regarding the shingles vaccine.
