Program Director in Rheumatology, Grant Medical Center.  Major responsibility for teaching the Rheumatic Diseases to residents and students using didactic lectures, practical clinics, teaching rounds, and other modes.

Active, invited faculty at various times lecturing residents and attending staff in residency programs at Grant Medical Center (Family Medicine), Riverside Methodist Hospitals (Internal Medicine and Family Medicine), Doctors Hospital (Internal Medicine and Family Medicine),  Mount Carmel Medical Center (Family Medicine) and The Ohio State University (Family Medicine and Physical Medicine).  Also teach residents from each of these residencies on clinical elective in Rheumatology.  Podiatry residents from Grant Medical Center, Park Medical Center (now OSU East Hospital) and Doctors Hospital and Orthopedic residents from Mount Carmel Medical Center have served required rotations in rheumatology with me.

Numerous invited lectures to the staffs of all the community hospitals in Columbus and numerous hospitals in the region.  Have lectured on a wide range of topics about arthritis, osteoporosis and musculoskeletal medicine to county medical societies, hospital staffs, residency programs, and groups of physicians in over 85% of Ohio's counties plus 25 states.

Numerous presentations to lay audiences throughout the area on topics such as arthritis, osteoporosis and musculoskeletal medicine including branches of the Arthritis Foundation, the Lupus Foundation, the Central Ohio Fibromyalgia Association, the Elizabeth Blackwell Center, and the training course for Arthritis Self-Help Volunteers.  Several broadcast appearances on WCMH-TV, WOSU-TV, WSYX-TV, WBNS-TV, WNCI-FM, WHIO-FM and other radio stations, and periodic appearances on WOSU-AM's "Your Health."

1986 - present
Teacher, mentor, and preceptor in all four years of The Ohio State University College of Medicine and Public Health curriculum, teaching approximately 50-75 students per year in courses including "First Year Clinical Preceptorship," "Second Year Rheumatology Module," "Second Year Physical Diagnosis," "Third Year Introduction to Clinical Medicine," "Third Year Rheumatology Elective," "Senior Elective in Rheumatology," and "Rheumatology DOC 3."

Member of The Ohio State University College of Medicine and Public Health Committee on Admissions.  Review, interview and select the incoming class of medical students.
