Current Research Projects

Inpatient Care for those with Autism Spectrum Disorder and Developmental Disabilities: Dr. Witwer has been studying admission trends for those with ID, and attitudes of those who care for individuals with ASD and DD in inpatient psychiatric hospitals.

Screening and Assessment in Young Children with Developmental Disabilities: Dr. Witwer also has a line of research related to children (birth to three years) served in the Early Intervention System 1) examining how we screen for autism spectrum disorders, as well as other social-emotional difficulties in this population and 2) working with the Early Intervention System to develop an assessment tool to track treatment goals.
