Background

I'm certified in diagnostic radiologic physics by the American Board of Radiology, am a certified radiation expert in Ohio for both diagnostic radiology and mammography, and am a licensed diagnostic radiologic physicist in Florida. I provide clinical support for all diagnostic imaging modalities and a variety of accreditation programs (TJC,ACR, IAC). Throughout my career, I have had an interest in medical physics education and currently serve as the program director for the Imaging Medical Physics Residency Program at The Ohio State Wexner Medical Center. I'm also a board examiner for the American Board of Radiology and chair the national committee for the accreditation of graduated education programs in medical physics.

My research interests include root cause analysis of medical errors in radiology and the development of personalized patient dosimetry for both diagnostic and theranostic studies and procedures, implementation of new technologies to optimize patient and reduce staff dose from ionizing radiation, and the evaluation of the effects of non-ionizing radiation fields on digital imaging systems.
