Accelerating medical research through fellowships and student engagement

After losing a close friend to lukemia, Rosa Lapalombella, PhD, knew she wanted to educate herself about the disease and incorpate related research efforts into her medical career. Under the direction of John Bryd, MD, she began studying chronic lymphocytic leukemia (CLL). It started as a six-month fellowship, but she has stayed with The Ohio State University for more than a decade.
