Robert Ruberg, MD, has accepted the position of interim vice dean for education in the OSU College of Medicine, effective August 1, 2011.
Dr. Ruberg has a long history of contributions to the education, research and clinical missions of the OSU Medical Center. An OSU faculty member since 1975, he served as division chief of plastic surgery from 1985 until 2004 and currently serves as vice chair of surgery. Dr. Ruberg has been a member of the OSU College of Medicine’s Executive Curriculum Committee for nearly 20 years, serving as committee chair from 1985 until 1998. He has also served on the college admissions committee, the MedIII/IV committee and the academic review board and has directed the college’s student learning communities from 2008 until the present. Among his many other contributions, Dr. Ruberg has participated as chair of the ACGME Residency Review Committee for Plastic Surgery and as President of the American Association of Plastic Surgeons.
Dr. Ruberg earned his MD degree from Harvard Medical School and his bachelor’s degree from Haverford College in Haverford, Pennsylvania.
