Dr. Susan Blumenthal to speak at inaugural Bernadine Healy Lectureship 


Susan J. Blumenthal, MD, MPA, Former Assistant Surgeon General Rear Admiral, USPHS will be the guest lecturer at the inaugural Bernadine Healy Lectureship on Wednesday, October 15, 2014.

Dr. Blumenthal will present “The Past, Present and Future of Women’s Health” at 5:00pm in the Ross Auditorium. A reception will follow.
The lectureship is named after Dr. Bernadine Healy, former Dean of The Ohio State University College of Medicine and Public Health. Dr. Healy was named the first female director of the National institutes of Health in 1991, and helped spearhead the NIH’s Women’s Health Initiative. Dr. Healy also served as president and CEO of the American Red Cross from 1999-2001.
