Amanda Thatcher is Associate Vice President for Operations and Strategic Communications in the Office of the Dean for the College of Medicine at The Ohio State University. In this role, she provides strategic oversight of operations and communications, partnering closely with the Dean and senior leadership team to advance priorities across academic medicine, research, and clinical integration.
Amanda brings extensive experience in academic health administration and executive leadership. She previously served as Academic Chief of Staff for the University of Michigan Medical School and as Chief of Staff for The Ohio State University Comprehensive Cancer Center – Arthur G. James Cancer Hospital and Richard J. Solove Research Institute (OSUCCC – James), where she supported enterprise strategy, leadership effectiveness, and organizational alignment.
Known for her ability to translate vision into action, Amanda leads complex, cross-functional initiatives that strengthen operational excellence, enhance communication, and foster collaboration across diverse stakeholder groups.
