Dr. Jennifer Gold is the vice dean for Education and chair of the Department of Biomedical Education and Anatomy at The Ohio State University College of Medicine. She joined Ohio State from Baylor College of Medicine, where she served as senior dean of the School of Medicine and School of Health Professions. In her current role, she oversees the college’s educational mission, including undergraduate education, medical education, continuing medical education and graduate and research education.
Throughout her career, Dr. Gold has held key leadership positions focused on educational excellence. She has led strategic planning initiatives, curriculum renewal efforts, accreditation processes and the launch of innovative programs. She is also an alumna of the Hedwig van Ameringen Executive Leadership in Academic Medicine (ELAM) program.
A board-certified pediatrician, Dr. Gold earned her bachelor’s degree at Ohio State, her medical degree at the University of Toledo and completed her pediatric residency at the University of Michigan. She is widely recognized as a thought leader in medical education, accreditation and curriculum development, and as a dedicated mentor to emerging scholars and educational leaders. Dr. Gold has served as a principal or co-investigator on multiple medical education grants, and her scholarly contributions include a substantial body of peer-reviewed publications and national and international presentations.
