Ray and Wendy Persons are Buckeyes with an appreciation for hard work and a vision for the future. Ray is a 1978 graduate of The Ohio State University Moritz College of Law. He is a partner at King & Spalding in Atlanta, Georgia, and was recognized as a Top 10 Trial Lawyer in Georgia by Super Lawyers in 2017. Even though Ray and Wendy live outside Ohio, they stay very involved with Ohio State through the College of Law. They also recognize the power of an academic medical center that is training the next generation of scientists and clinicians. They are focused on the future and dedicated to doing their part to support it, which is one of the main reasons that the family has decided to make multiple philanthropic investments to support the Department of Surgery’s Emerging Surgical Scholar Professorship.
