Ben Lopez, PharmD, MS, MHA, BCPS is Associate Director of Pharmacy and Infusion Services at The Ohio State University Comprehensive Cancer CenterArthur G. James Cancer Hospital and Richard J. Solove Research Institute (The James) in Columbus, Ohio.
Dr. Lopez earned his Bachelor’s degree and his Doctor of Pharmacy at West Virginia University. He completed a combined PGY1 and PGY2 in HealthSystem Pharmacy Administration at Grant Medical Center with a Master of Science in Health-System Pharmacy Administration and Master of Health Administration from The Ohio State University.
In his position at The James, he is responsible for the pharmacy operations of the inpatient cancer hospital and assists in the management of six hospital-based ambulatory chemotherapy infusion clinics. In this role, his focus is on quality and process improvement, automation management, and accreditation readiness. Additionally, he is a guest lecturer for graduate-level courses at The Ohio State University College of Pharmacy and serves as a preceptor for the Health-System Pharmacy Administration Residency Program at OSUMC. He is active in professional pharmacy organizations at the local, state, and national levels.
