Ben Lopez, PharmD, MS, MHA, BCSCP is Senior Director for Acute Care Pharmacy Services at The Ohio State University Wexner Medical Center in Columbus, Ohio. He also serves as residency co-coordinator for the PGY1/PGY2 Health-System Pharmacy Administration and Leadership Residency program and is lecturer at the OSU College of Pharmacy.
Ben is responsible for the pharmacy practice model and integrated pharmacy operations across all acute care hospitals.
Dr. Lopez earned his Bachelor’s degree and Doctor of Pharmacy from West Virginia University and Master of Science in Health-System Pharmacy Administration and Master of Health Administration from The Ohio State University. He completed PGY1 Pharmacy Practice and PGY2 Health-System Pharmacy Administration residency programs at Grant Medical Center in Columbus, Ohio.
His professional interests include advancing pharmacy quality and patient safety, medication diversion prevention, workload and productivity monitoring, pharmacy operations, and team development.
